How this calculator works
Hedging a bet means placing a tét on the opposing outcome after your original position has already been placed (usually after the original has moved in your favour). The goal is to guarantee a nyereség or reduce maximum loss regardless of which outcome occurs.
For the "lock in equal nyereség" mode, the calculator finds the hedge tét that makes both scenarios return the same net nyereség. The formula is: hedge tét = (original tét x original szorzók) / (1 + hedge szorzók - 1), which simplifies to: original win return / hedge szorzók.
Concretely: a 50-unit original tét at 4.00 returns 200 if it wins (150 nyereség). To hedge at 1.40, the szükséges tét = 200 / 1.40 = 142.86. If the original wins: nyereség = 200 - 50 - 142.86 = 7.14. If the hedge wins: nyereség = 142.86 x 1.40 - 50 - 142.86 = 7.14. Both scenarios return the same nyereség.
The "guarantee no loss" mode calculates the hedge tét needed so that neither outcome results in a loss. This is the break-even hedge. For the example above, any hedge tét that covers the original 50-unit investment while the original side returns surplus qualifies.
The "custom tét" mode lets you add meg any hedge amount and see the resulting nyereség/loss scenarios side by side. This is useful when you want to partially hedge rather than fully lock in a result.
Note that hedging always reduces maximum upside in exchange for certainty. The right amount to hedge depends on your risk tolerance and the size of the in-play price move since your original bet was placed.

Gyakori Kérdések
When should I hedge a bet?
Hedge when your original válaszd kiion has moved significantly in your favour and you want to secure some nyereség before the esemény concludes. Common scenarios include a labdarúgás team winning at half time and you want to guarantee a return regardless of the second half result.
Does hedging reduce my profit?
Yes. By placing a tét on both outcomes, you are spending additional money. The locked-in nyereség will always be less than your maximum potential upside from the original bet alone.
Can I hedge a parlay?
Yes. If the final leg of a parlay is pending, you can hedge the last leg on the opposing outcome. Use the original potential parlay payout as your "original tét" and the last-leg szorzók as the hedge szorzók.
What is partial hedging?
Partial hedging places a smaller tét on the opposing outcome than a full lock would require. It reduces exposure without fully locking in nyereség, leaving some upside on the original bet.
Is hedging the same as arbitrage?
No. Arbitrage places both bets simultaneously before the esemény from separate bookmakers. Hedging places the second bet after the first has already been made, typically when the position has moved in your favour.
